Cookie Policy
for the online store www.biomefix.eu | version 2.1 | effective from 1 August 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on a user’s device when visiting a website. They help ensure the basic functions of the website, remember settings, measure traffic, and, once consent has been given, evaluate marketing campaigns.
2. Who Uses Cookies
The operator of the online store and the controller of data obtained through cookies is BIOMEFIX s.r.o. Some cookies may also be stored by providers of technical, analytical, or marketing services as independent controllers or processors.
3. Categories of Cookies
| Category | Purpose | Consent | Usual Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | shopping cart, login, security, language selection, and website functionality | not required | session up to 12 months |
| Preference | remembering the user’s optional settings | depending on the nature; usually consent | session up to 12 months |
| Analytical | measuring traffic and use of the website | yes | depending on the specific service, generally up to 24 months |
| Marketing | personalisation of advertising and measurement of campaigns | yes | depending on the specific service, generally up to 24 months |
4. Technologies and Tools Used
The website is operated on the WordPress system, the online store uses the WooCommerce platform, and hosting services from WebSupport. We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement and advertising codes.
Once consent has been given, we may in particular use Google Analytics to measure traffic and use of the website, Google Ads to measure and optimise advertising campaigns, Meta Pixel to measure and optimise advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, and the marketing functions of the Getsitecontrol service.
Through these tools, we may process in particular the IP address, cookie and device identifiers, browser data, pages visited, source of the visit, products viewed, addition of a product to the cart, and information on completion of an order and its value. Optional tools are activated only after the relevant consent has been given.
5. Legal Basis
Necessary cookies are used without consent because they are required to provide a service explicitly requested by the user and for the secure operation of the online store. Analytical, marketing and other optional cookies are stored only after consent has been given via the cookie banner.
6. Managing Consent
On their first visit, a user may accept all optional cookies, refuse them, or make detailed settings by category. Consent given may be changed or withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link available on the website. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
7. Overview of Specific Cookies
A current list of specific cookies and similar technologies, their providers, purpose, category, and validity period is displayed directly in the cookie management tool. This overview takes precedence over the general list in this document, as it is updated according to the technologies actually deployed on the online store. Optional analytical and marketing tools are activated only after the user’s consent has been given.
8. Browser Settings
Cookies can also be blocked or deleted in the internet browser’s settings. Blocking necessary cookies may cause the shopping cart, login, or other parts of the online store to malfunction.
9. Processing of Personal Data
If cookies or similar technologies contain online identifiers, they may constitute personal data. Details of users’ rights, recipients, and data transfers are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Final Provisions
This Cookie Policy takes effect on 1 August 2026. The Operator may update it, in particular in the event of a change in the tools used or legal requirements.
